Text of Complaint by Rohit Verma:

This is to bring to your notice that a fraudulent activity has been taken place on 19th Feb, 2019.

I placed an order through Zomato app from a Restaurant called Open Oven (Jasola)

I paid Rs. 656.25 online using my credit card and the Restaurant confirmed the later.

I was promised to receive the order by 12 Noon. However, restaurant executive and your Zomato executive has done a fraud. Wherein, they rejected my order by saying my number was not reachable.

When I called the Restaurant right after placing the order he said Red Velvet Cale is not available. But then he said, he will get it made and will deliver the same by 12 Noon.

When I called him again to check the status, he said Zomato executive is not coming to pick up the order.

And then all of sudden I got an SMS stating my order has been cancelled. When I checked in your Zomato app, it shows “Order has been rejected by the Restaurant ( Open Oven).

I called the Restaurant right away and he said, it has been cancelled by the Zomato executive.

In my app it was showing that the order has been cancelled by Open Oven and I can claim for a refund. Please find attached the screenshot.

I did claim for a refund and it shows on the app. Please have a look at this screenshot as well.

Then, I called up the Restaurant again and this time he said your Zomato executive came at the restaurant however my order was not ready. Instead of calling me and informing me about the same, they cancelled my order.

I have all the call recordings. If you want I can share them too.

Then I had a chat with your Zomato Support and one your executive said he can’t refund the amount because my order was ready and my no. was not reachable. This was updated my your Zomato executive who was supposed to deliver my order.

This is a serious concern as I have been placing orders from Zomato but I never expected this from you.

On the Zomato App it says, refund has been initiated, however I haven’t received that. Also, when I had a chat with Zomato representative, he said I won’t be getting a refund.

Please note, that I raised a complaint with Zomato Support at order@zomato.com however it been 3 days and nobody has responded to my email. This is a serious concern.

I would like you to please take serious action against Zomato and the Restaurant (Open Oven).

Please help me in getting the refund.
