Subject: Complaint Regarding Misrepresentation, Financial Exploitation, and Harassment by Franchise Company “Khadak Singh Da Dhaba”

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, YUVRAJ JAISWAL, aged 26 years, resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, wish to submit this complaint regarding the severe financial losses, mental harassment, and unfair business practices committed by the franchise company operating under the brand name Khadak Singh Da Dhaba.

I invested approximately Rs. 40,00,000/- (Forty Lakhs) in taking the franchise outlet of the said company in Gorakhpur after being assured by the franchisor that the investment amount would be recovered within approximately 18–24 months and that the business model was profitable and well-supported operationally.

However, even after 9–10 months of operations, the outlet has continuously remained under severe losses and there are no signs of achieving breakeven or profitability. The promises made before onboarding have not been fulfilled.

The franchisor had themselves approved and finalized the current outlet location during the setup stage. However, after the outlet started suffering losses, the company started shifting the blame onto us by claiming that the location is unsuitable, despite the fact that the same location was approved by their own team before commencement of operations.

Further, despite repeated requests, the company has failed to provide adequate operational, marketing, inventory, and business support. Instead of assisting struggling franchisees, the company has been pressurizing and threatening us for royalty payments even when the outlet is already running in heavy losses.

Additionally, whenever franchisees attempt to raise concerns regarding losses and lack of support, the franchisor allegedly misuses its control over billing software and online ordering systems by blocking or disrupting access to online food delivery and billing operations, thereby causing further financial damage and mental harassment to outlet owners.

I have also come into contact with other franchise owners facing similar financial distress and operational issues under the same franchise model, which indicates a recurring pattern of misleading business practices.

Due to these circumstances:

– My family has suffered serious financial losses.
– Loans and liabilities have accumulated.
– My father’s hard-earned money has been invested into this business.
– I am facing severe mental stress and uncertainty regarding my future.

I respectfully request your office to kindly:

1. Investigate the business practices and conduct of the franchisor company.
2. Examine whether false assurances and misleading financial projections were used to induce investments from franchisees.
3. Take necessary action regarding coercive royalty demands and operational harassment.
4. Protect affected franchisees from further financial exploitation.
5. Help in securing a fair resolution, compensation, or legal remedy for the losses suffered.

I am prepared to provide all supporting documents including agreements, payment proofs, investment records, chats, emails, royalty demands, and evidence of operational disruption whenever required.

I sincerely request your urgent intervention in this matter.

Thanking You,

Yours faithfully,
Yuvraj Jaiswal
