Someone was going to send money to me, then he sent a screenshot of the transaction of Rs. 2001 to my PAYTM wallet and there was a wallet transaction ID mentioned. I saw the screenshot and immediately thought that this was a fake screenshot with no UPI ID, bank details or the sender’s details. Upon enquiring he told me that he had sent the money through his laptop using the Paytm website, which was incorrect as the screenshot was of the mobile app. He told me that he’ll raise a complaint regarding the same as the money has been deducted from his account, although it never reached my account. He also requested me to raise a complaint myself as I have not received the money. So, I called the PAYTM customer service and to my shock I was informed that there was no transaction to my accont and the wallet id mentioned in the screenshot was of another transaction done by someone else in April 2023. It became clear that it was a fake screenshot. I am not sure about the registered PAYTM account number of the person that has sent me a fake screenshot. So, what can I do, How can I get him blocked on PAYTM as he is now not attending my calls.
