Text of Complaint by Sailab Basak:

I applied for a job in Mahindra Ltd. through Quikr. After that, I received a call from a number 8527209597 and the person claims herself to be “Deepika Sharma” from Mahindra company’s recruitment cell. Over the phone call I was informed that my profile has been shortlisted and asked me to submit necessary documents(Aadhar, Marksheet, Email id, Passport photo) through Whatsapp in the same mentioned number. Also, I was told that it would be a part time jobfor which I will offered a salary of 10,500. Then she told me that the documents, once submitted will be forwarded to the HR department of the company and somebody from their would call me for further proceedings. Also, she informed that I need to deposit an amount of Rs. 650, which would be refunded with the first month’s salary. The next day, after sending all the required documents, I received an “Interview Letter” through mail and the sender’s id is “hrdepartment.mahindramotors@gmail.com”. There, it was mentioned that I will be receiving a phone call for the interview purpose. As said, I received a call from Mr. Sumit Agarwal, who claims himself as the President of HR department, Mahindra motors.  Over the phone call, I was asked some basic questions and it ended on a good note. After that, I received a call from “Deepika Sharma” and she informed me that I have been selected for the post of “Store incharge” and that, I need to deposit Rs 650 within half an hour. The account details shared in the document is attached herewith. Then, before depositing the amount, I did some research on the web and found out that it was fake and they have been doing this to several other people. Their gameplan is to collect as much money possible from a person and after that, they stop answering your calls suddenly and your money is gone. I was lucky to have escaped from it but there are thousands of people who are trusting and paying them the money as it has been published in a reputed website “QUIKR”.  This type of frauds are carried out on a regular basis and no action is being taken against such people or organization. Therefore, I would like to urge to whoever responsible for the handling of this complaint that Please take some serious action against these kind of frauds and serve people with honesty as they had shown trust upon you. This act of irresponsibility and unprofessionalism is never expected from a company like Quikr. This surely will defame the company. And I urge to the people, whoever reading this that do not easily trust the online job offerings as maximum of them are fraud.
