The product received is a fake and counterfeit product. I have confirmed the same from Sony store. There is no serial number for the product. The product is a first copy of the original product.
Also the product box was open. The seal was broken when I got the product. The product has also got scratches on it. There is no charger adapter provided as mentioned in the packing and which is there with the original product.
I had ordered the product seeing the product description-100% original Sony. But later when i read the product reviews I was shocked since all the buyers had mentioned the product is duplicate.
I had immediately tried my best to contact the seller by eBay member communication, phone, what’s app, and email but the seller was not picking the call or responding to my message. I had also highlighted this issue to eBay customer care and eBay grievance team but there was no satisfactory resolution.
I had spoken to ebay customer care executive Ms Sweety for cancellation of the order. As informed by her She too tried contacting the seller in all possible ways but the seller was not responding. Finally when the seller shipped the product, she informed me to contact eBay if I find the item duplicate and eBay would help me to get my refund. (Recorded conversation available on request).
I am a member of eBay since 2002 and I shop with eBay only because of the trust and goodwill I have of eBay. But this incident has actually shocked me. I am senior executive working with Government of India and I am strictly against counterfeit and fake items which ruins the country.
The moment I read the reviews that the item is duplicate, I had asked eBay to cancel the order but it was in vain. I don’t encourage counterfeit and fake product and would not like my hard earned money to be wasted for such things.
I would request a immediate refund for the duplicate item at the earliest. I would also request eBay to take strict action against such sellers who are the root cause for spoiling the country and eBay name.
This executive Ms Charmi has failed on her promises and is trying to harass me. The fact that ebay has accepted the product is counterfeit and have delisted the product from website and still holding my amount is not ethical.
I would request an immediate action for my case. I have taken the pain and have written this mail to you all to get justice and i am in no way going to let my monies go in vain because of ebay’s cheating and fooling. I would rather give money for charity but not to the thieves selling product on ebay. Looking forwards for a postive response.
