Text of Complaint by Vipen Ruhela:

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this formal complaint to bring to your attention the misconduct of Airtel, a leading communication company in India. My mobile number, 9999799995, which is associated with my banks and other financial companies, was disconnected by Airtel on 23-03-2023, even though I had paid my bill on 22-03-2023. I had informed Airtel that there would be a delay in my payment as I was out of the country, and I also informed them that I would be out of the country for another six months.
Despite my prior communication, Airtel disconnected my line, and I have been facing severe difficulties in accessing my bank accounts and other financial services. This has caused me significant financial loss and has put my sensitive information at risk of being leaked.
Furthermore, Airtel’s response to my request to reactivate my mobile line has been extremely unprofessional. They have asked me to visit their branch in India to resolve the issue, even though I am currently out of the country. This is unacceptable in this day and age, where communication can be easily done through Zoom meetings or email, where all the identification documents can be verified.
I strongly believe that Airtel’s actions are in violation of my consumer rights and are causing me significant mental and financial distress. Therefore, I request the Consumer Court to take appropriate action against Airtel and ensure that they rectify their mistake immediately. I also urge the court to direct Airtel to compensate me for the losses that I have incurred due to their misconduct.
