I booked a room for two days and I was denied check in after reaching the hotel or whatever excuse of a place it was. I was told by the manager there that they have guests staying in the room I booked and that I’d have to cancel it through oyo as they can’t refund me. I contacted oyo then and there and I was only given half the amount. I complained on twitter and the representative promised me the refund for the remaining amount and now they are saying the issue was resolved and only half the amount that was refunded was promised. Problem is I also booked another room the same night as I had no place to stay and I was out on the streets of jaipur in rain with no shelter. I asked if I could check in early and they said no and I literally was not refunded that amount either. So I was cheated and lied to in the name of refund and now everyone is acting as if this is normal procedure.
