I had ordered a Wakefit Orthopedic 8-inch Single Memory Foam Mattress (L x W: 72 inch x 42 inch) on flipkart on 17th December 2022 for Rs 9213. Order id OD426809976148967100. Delivery of product was promised on 25th. They missed the deadline. I raised a concern over the delay of delivery in Flipkart on January 1st 2023 in Flipkart which they have closed without resolution. They told I would be contacted by Wakefit customer care soon regarding the same and that on their end (flipkart), the product is seen being shipped on 20th December. On January 3 2023, I received a call from Wakefit customer care telling me that the product is still being manufactured and that it has not been shipped. They asked for another 24-48 hours to give further update. and since then, they have called me on January 6,10,12,15,17,19 giving lame excuses and asking for another 48 hours’ time for further update but till then they hadn’t even shipped the product. I contacted Flipkart customer care on 19th regarding this and raised a complaint, they assured me they had escalated the issue and would resolve the same by 21st January but they closed the complaint without even contacting me stating in the concern that product will reach me at the earliest. On 20th, 21st and 22nd again i received call from Wakfit asking further time for shipment of product. I refused to allow any more time as I had had enough of this mental torture. I contacted Flipkart again on 22nd and this time I asked them to cancel the product and provide refund or give me a specific date of delivery. They told me they cant promise either and they have asked for date till 25th of January to resolve the issue.
I have no bit of belief left in both these companies i.e., Flipkart and Wakefit Mattress. It’s been over a month since I made the order and they have tested my patience enough. It seems like a spam now that they are not even ready to give even a promise on the delivery date nor are they ready to cancel the order and provide refund. This has put me under a lot of stress and mental fatigue off late.
I am definitely going to file a complaint in NATIONAL CONSUMER DISPUTES REDRESSAL COMMISSION soon
