Vide my order number 2925692437, I had ordered ice-cream through Zomato food delivery services from the restaurant Frozen Bottle. The Alphonso Mango Ice-cream has two pieces of glass and I cut my mouth when I took a spoonful with a piece of glass in it.
I immediately alerted Zomato over chat and on phone and requested a call from a manager level Zomato representative so that I could discus how Zomato or the restaurant intends to compensate me for this shocking lapse of hygiene and safety. Nobody has called me back. I simply got a message and a mail saying that Zomato was refunding my full order value and crediting my account with Rs 175/-.
I think this smacks of negligent attitude that the Company is not even bothered to call back a customer who has encountered such a serious issue. The monetary compensation offer is absolutely inadequate and insulting. The issue is not sub-standard delivery or sub-standard food, but one of serious lack of hygiene and dangerous foreign material in food.
Since there has been no contact from Zomato for the last two days, I am seeking the intervention of this august forum to take up my complaint.
