Text of Complaint by Farheen:

I am a doctor and my neet pg exam was scheduled on 18th April for which I was given kankavli, Sindhudurg as my exam centre. After a sudden lockdown was announced in Maharashtra due to rise in covid cases I was told to show my hall ticket as epass to travel inter state. But after supreme court postponed the exam due to rise in covid cases, i requested the hotel, Neelam’s countryside on MakeMyTrip to cancel my booking but the hotel refused to refund me any amount saying it’s not their problem that my exam got postponed even though it was a decision from the central government and not my personal decision. The hotel refused to listen to my issue. Since it’s a pandemic, the site on MakeMyTrip clearly mentions they can refund bookings if it’s for medical emergency or natural calamity. Since there’s a lockdown there’s no way I can travel to that place and they should ideally refund me the amount. The cancellation was within 4 hours and it was for a very genuine reason.
