I am lodging this complaint regarding an incident of online fraud that I have recently experienced.
On 9 sept, I placed an online order on the website www.shoppytech.com
for an Insta360 Flow Pro Gimbal (2025 Edition) at the price of ₹1499. However, instead of delivering the product I paid for, the company delivered a cheap normal photo stick, which is not the product advertised or purchased.
Further, the website provided a false/invalid email ID for complaints and refunds, making it impossible to contact them for resolution. This indicates that the company is deliberately deceiving customers and is engaged in fraudulent activities.
I believe this is a clear case of cheating, online fraud, and misrepresentation, which falls under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act.
I kindly request you to:
Register my complaint and initiate a case against ShoppyTech.com.
Investigate the fraudulent practices of the said company.
Take appropriate legal action to prevent such scams and protect other consumers.
