Dear Sir/Madam,
I am filing this complaint against Xpressbees regarding the improper handling of my shipment and the wrongful imposition of RTO charges.
Shipment details are as follows:
AWB/Tracking Number: 14356060052879
Service: Xpressbees Surface 10Kg
Booking Date: 01 September 2026
Pickup Date: 03 September 2026
Shipment Value: ₹25,000
Consignee: Rahul Rathod
Delivery Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan
RTO Charges: ₹864.84
The shipment was booked with Xpressbees with the expectation that it would be delivered to the consignee at the address provided at the time of booking.
However, the shipment was not delivered as promised.
I subsequently came to know that the Jaipur courier agency contacted the consignee and asked him to collect the shipment from their office. The consignee was informed that the courier agency was facing a manpower shortage and therefore was unable to deliver the shipment to his address.
The consignee refused to collect the shipment from the courier office and specifically requested the courier agency to deliver it to the delivery address, as was agreed at the time of booking.
Despite the consignee being available and willing to receive the shipment, the courier agency did not complete the delivery.
More seriously, the courier tracking system was subsequently updated with the remark that the delivery attempt failed because the phone was “Ringing but No Answer.”
This remark is disputed.
According to the consignee, the courier agency had contacted him and asked him to collect the shipment from their office. Therefore, the tracking remark does not accurately represent what actually happened.
The shipment was subsequently moved towards RTO, and I am now being charged ₹864.84 as RTO charges.
I strongly object to these charges because the RTO was not caused by the consignee refusing delivery or being unavailable. The issue arose because the courier agency did not provide delivery at the agreed destination and instead asked the consignee to collect the shipment from its office due to its own manpower shortage.
I therefore request the following:
Cancellation and reversal of the RTO charges of ₹864.84.
Refund of any other amount charged to me in connection with the failed delivery and RTO.
Investigation into the delivery attempt made by the Jaipur delivery agency.
Verification of the actual call records and delivery attempt records associated with AWB 14356060052879.
Correction of the incorrect tracking remark stating “Ringing but No Answer,” if the investigation confirms that the consignee was contacted and asked to collect the shipment from the courier office.
Compensation for the financial loss and inconvenience caused due to the failure to provide the promised delivery service.
Appropriate action against the concerned delivery agency/personnel for incorrectly updating the delivery status.
I am attaching the available shipment records, tracking details, screenshots and other supporting evidence with this complaint.
I request that this matter be investigated and resolved at the earliest. If the matter is not satisfactorily resolved, I reserve my right to approach the appropriate Consumer Commission and seek refund, compensation, costs and other relief available under applicable law.
Regards,
Sumit Agrawal
