Text of Complaint by Rejesh George:

This is to inform you that I (Rejesh George) residing in Kakkanad, Ernakulam had taken an Vodafone Prepaid connection in August 2011 from Ernakulam Vodafone office. I used the connection till December 2017. In the month of December 15th, due to a short visit outside India, I stopped using this connection. I came back to Ernakulam this month (February 2018).  When I tried using my Vodafone connection, I got message that the SIM registration failed.

 

On the same day, I contacted customer care and got info that due to non-usage of the connection for 3 months, it got discontinued. On their advice, I took all the necessary documents, and cash and visited the nearby Vodafone office (Vodafone retail store Adimaly, Idukki) for renewing the registration with purchase of new sim card.

 

They checked and confirm after 3 hours for that number (9946403007) disconnected and go to sale for local market thereafter (evening) the store executive called my phone and told that number  blocked in their Muvattupuzha Store for three days but if you want that number get connection only in Post-paid therefore we remit Rs 500/- for Vodafone Muvattupuzha store.

 

I was always a loyal customer to Vodafone- thought this is one of the best-prepaid brands in India. I using this connection past 7 to 8 years as prepaid I need retain my number as prepaid but Vodafone executives told if you want that number go for post-paid why this kind of irresponsible and improper service has made me to think to opt for another Brand.

 

I am very disappointed with the service. I took leave from my busy work schedule and took all the pain in calling the customer care, visiting the branch personally – only for getting that old mobile number. Atlast, the service & the outcome from Vodafone was not at all satisfactory.

 

Please give me explanation why this kind of irresponsible service was rendered from Vodafone.

 

I need my own number (9946403007) back at any cost. Vodafone had assured me that this number will be activated. Hopes should not be broken. This is an important message, accord priority
