Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Paytm regarding an issue I have been facing with their services. On 08/06/2023, I noticed an incorrect deduction of Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) charges from my Paytm account. Instead of deducting the agreed-upon amount of Rs. 74, Paytm erroneously deducted Rs. 740 from my account.

I immediately raised a complaint regarding this matter with Paytm on 12/06/2023, and despite the two weeks that have passed, I have not received any response or resolution from their customer support team. The lack of communication and delay in addressing my concern is highly frustrating and demonstrates a disregard for customer satisfaction.

I would like to bring to your attention the following details of the transaction:

I have attached all relevant supporting documents, including transaction receipts, screenshots of the incorrect deduction, and copies of my previous communication with Paytm, for your reference.

As a consumer, I believe that Paytm has violated my rights by incorrectly deducting an amount that is ten times higher than what was agreed upon. I request the Consumer Court to intervene in this matter and help me obtain a fair resolution. My expectations are as follows:

1.Refund of the excess MDR charges amounting to Rs. 740.58 (Rs. 811.03 – Rs. 74.45).
2.Appropriate compensation for the mental stress, inconvenience, and loss of time caused by Paytm’s negligence in addressing my complaint within a reasonable time frame.
3.Assurance from Paytm that such discrepancies will not occur in the future and that they will improve their customer service to ensure prompt resolution of consumer grievances.

I kindly request the Consumer Court to initiate an investigation into this matter and take appropriate action against Paytm for their negligent behavior. I trust that the Consumer Court will ensure a fair and just resolution to this issue.
