I would like to lodge a complaint against an e-commerce website, AddMeCart, from which I purchased an air conditioner on 29 March 2026 for my elder brother residing in Bhagalpur, Bihar (PIN: 813210).
After placing the order, I visited the website several times to track the shipment. However, I noticed that the live order tracking status was not being updated regularly. When I attempted to contact the customer support number provided on the website, the call repeatedly disconnected after a few automated steps, raising concerns about the authenticity of the seller.
The only available mode of communication was through email. Since my brother’s email address was registered during the purchase process, all correspondence was conducted through his email account. We repeatedly contacted the company seeking updates on the shipment status. However, the responses were vague and failed to provide any satisfactory information regarding the delivery of the product.
Due to the prolonged delay and lack of transparency, we requested cancellation of the order and a full refund via email on 21 April 2026. The company acknowledged our communication initially, but thereafter stopped responding to our emails altogether. Despite multiple follow-ups, neither the ordered product has been delivered nor has the refund been processed.
I believe this website may be engaging in fraudulent business practices by accepting payments without delivering products or issuing refunds. As a consumer, I have suffered financial loss and considerable mental stress.
I kindly request your intervention to investigate this matter and help me recover my hard-earned money. I am prepared to provide all supporting documents, including order details, payment receipts, email communications, and screenshots of the website, if required.
