Respected Sir/Mam,

I am a customer named Riya Sarkar, I placed an order today dated 27/06/2020 at 05:05pm, ORDER NUMBER 1977640112, Phone number: 8967883664.
It was a paid order from my side via UPI, an amount of rupees 256 for 2 plate egg biryani  from Zaika biryani house, a screenshot is attached regarding the details of my order.
I waited for my order in the balcony for about an hour with my mobile in hand so that if the call comes, I can pick it up quickly, but due to no response from the delivery person, then I checked the zomato app which showed me ” We could not deliver this order, as you were unavailable to collect the food at the mentioned address & your phone was unreachable”. BUT, I DIDN’T RECEIVE ANY CALL FROM THE DELIVERY PERSON, I HAVE THE CALL LOGS SAVED FOR THIS TIME AND DATE,so,how would I pick the call if not received any and moreover the address was right and exact, if the delivery person had followed the map accordingly, he would be right in front of my home, as I was waiting in my balcony for my order eagerly.
Without getting any call, without getting my order how is it fair that in the NAME OF SO CALLED CANCELLATION CHARGE A TOTAL OF RUPEES 256, THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF MY ORDER IS DEDUCTED WITH NO REFUND????

Is this a fair policy you call??
That is if due to a Network problem, you are unable to reach your customer where the address of the customer is well exact given, rather reaching the customer, You will deduct the entire amount in the name of cancellation charge?
what about my dinner today, no money for my next dinner order now, not even a single penny refunded, whereas I was waiting with my mobile for the call from the delivery person along with standing in my balcony to guide the delivery person. I am not a new customer that will give wrong numbers or not guide the delivery person or not wait for my order.
Therefore, I request you to refund my amount, cancellation charges cannot be the entire order amount. how is this even justifiable?????
cancellation charges that too due to a network error cannot be placed in the name of the customer’s fault! cancellation charges if needed can be a small amount deducted from the order amount but not the entire amount where its not me, the customer cancelling the food item after ordering.
I therefore request you to look into the matter and also into the policy which could have helped at that moment and resolved the issue without such an email being sent to you. I have mentioned the time above regarding the order placing time. Further I have attached below details regarding my order. I am even providing an alternate number: 8777457960, to contact me if needed as it may happen due to some network issue again which nobody knows neither me nor you, you may not be able to reach me, so that wouldn’t count as my mistake.
