My father booked Puri Hotel, Puri through their manager who called himself Santosh, contact no 6370569420 This contact number was available on the website of Puri Hotel, Puri. This person contacted him over Whatsapp and shared room images of the property along with bank details of Puri Hotel and asked to make certain percentage of payment. The payment was made through A/C WITH CANARA BANK A/C NO -110133569654 WITH IFSC CODE- CNRB0001439 UNDER PAYMENT ID- 155145228 and then we did not receive any payment receipt/confirmation voucher. Upon further interrogation, they asked me to do a very suspicious process of bill registration through Gpay. On his suspicion, they disconnected and never picked his call henceforth. It is such a shame that such a racket is operative with a reputed hotel. It seems this is not a one time case and help general public reaffirm their faith on tourism. This is a cyber cell crime.
