Text of Complaint by Abhijeet Kumar:

Hello Team,

I have faced an issue with the Porter Delivery Person explained below.

Yesterday evening, I booked Porter 2 Wheeler service to get food delivered from a nearby Buryani shop – Suresh Gowda Military Hotel.

Driver Suresh asked me to pay ₹750, to pay the restaurant for the following items:
1. Biryani Rice – 2.5 Plates
2. Chicken Chops – 1 plate
3. Chicken Kebab – 1 plate

He paid and bought only 2 items (Chicken Chops and Chicken Kebab) from Suresh Gowda Military Hotel, and he bought the rest of the 2.5 plates of Biryani Rice from some other shop. My concerns are:

1. Had he bought all of the above items from Suresh Gowda Military Hotel, it would have totaled up to ₹700 not ₹750.
2. He deliberately only bought 2 items from that shop, as they did not run out of biryani rice. I went to the shop and was able to buy the Biryani Rice later myself. I am a regular customer of that shop and I know their food and packaging very well.
3. Matter is did he do this for a mere ₹ 300 – ₹400. Also, if he bought the Biryani rice from some unhygienic restaurant to save money and had I consumed the Biryani and gotten ill, who would have been responsible for it?
4. One more thing, Porter’s payment amount was ₹67, but he collected ₹70 instead. As I had booked the service and I was not at home, hence my wife paid the amount he asked for. I think it says about the character of this person “Suresh”.
4. I want a refund and compensation.

I have received an update from Porter Customer Care, that they can not provide any refund. By denying refund, they have denied any responsibility in this matter. Just imagine, delivery partner deliberately did this to cheat. Though I didn’t consume the Biryani rice, by looking at the packaging I can tell it is from a cheap place. Who would be responsible if I had gotten sick by consuming it?
