On 01.09.2019 i made a prepaid order via Zomato bearing order id 1863986362 at about 7:30 p.m. A delivery boy was assigned for me namely Sourabh kr Banerjee. After reaching the restaurant he called me up saying that your adress is too far away and i am getting late can you change your order?Infact he said so inspite of my paying the extra delivery fees set according to different locations of zomato.I insisted on having the same order and helped him with my address. After a while he again called me for asking the route after he was out for delivery with the food. I again helped him with the address. After sometime he started making lame excuses that i not able to find your address and it is too far while the delivery was approved by zomato and i had paid the whole amount plus delivery for my order. Then suddenly without letting me know the delivery boy cancelled the order with no refund for the reason that he was getting late and could not find the address inspite of me guiding him with the desired address every 5 mins. After this i contacted the said restaurant and the manager told me that this complaints have become common now a days and these delivery boys are taking food from the restaurant and with some excuse are cancelling the order on the way and taking the parcel home. He asked me to contact the higher authorities of zomato and provided me with the number of two area managers of zomato. Firstly i contacted Mr. Neeraj whose number is 7903980361 and narrated him the whole incident. He took the whole incident very lightly and told that he will check it the next day. Since then he is not receiving my call ever again. After that i contacted another manager of zomato ranchi zone namely Mr. Saddam whose number is 6200920694 and again narrated him the whole incident. He also assured me that he would look into the matter the next day and since then he too is not picking up my phone. After trying here nd there several times i again contacted the restaurant from where i had placed the order and he told me that all these delivery boys and staff of zomato work in connivance with each othet and do this illegal business of cancelling the order of customer and taking the order to their homes with no refund of the customers money.
It is humbly submitted to you that zomato is cheating people with no customer support platform. The chat is of no use as the never contact you back and the customer care numbers are all wrong and dead. If this is the case then everyday thousands of customers like me are being cheated and loosing money like me with no one available to redress complaints amd take action. The restaurants are also fed up of this illegal practise of zomato delivery boys. Kindly take action as soon as possible because this is growing day by day and even the zonal managers whose numbers i have provided are involved in this corrupt practise.
