Call drop and internet problem with Vodafone prepaid and postpaid connections

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

I, undersigned, holding following two Vodafone connections:

1. +91 8238015429 (Post-paid-Chennai Circle)

2. +91 9978135406 (Prepaid-Gujarat Circle).

Currently, I stay in Chennai city and work with IndianOil LNG Pvt. Ltd. at Kamarajar Port, Kattupalli, Chennai location. I am facing severe network issues in both of the above connections. Following are the particulars about the problems:

 

  1. Very poor and highly fluctuating network signal.
  2. It is showing Roaming even though the card is from Chennai-Local.
  3. Internet 4G connection is extremely poor. Internet is not working at all.
  4. Network completely goes off frequently.
  5. Frequent call drops.
  6. Not able to make/receive calls.

 

I am facing the above problems at my work location situated at Kamarajar Port, Kattupalli and GPS coordinates are 13.290911, 80.342564. I lodged a complaint to Vodafone customer care one year back and Vodafone committed to resolve the issue maximum within 6 months. But unfortunately, the problem was not resolved. Hence, I raised a complaint once again in the second week of June-2020 and Vodafone confirmed to resolve the issue by 22.06.2020. Subsequently, my complaint was closed automatically without taking any action for resolution. Hence, I reopened the complaint ref. C004-69771515659 on 24.06.2020 and I got a confirmation from Vodafone that the complaint has been opened again and the customer care executive will be in touch with me. But, till date there is no support from Vodafone. Subsequently, I lodged complaints about six times starting from June-2020 to July-2020, but each time my complaint was closed by Vodafone without taking any action and without resolving the issue. I have a sent numerous e-mails to Vodafone customer care of Chennai City, Tamil Nadu State, Appellate Authority and Vodafone Corporate Office, but none of my e-mail has been replied. I observed that Vodafone customer care deleted my Gmail inbox/sent email history and messages regarding these complaints.

I lodged my last/recent complaint ref. C004-76100508859 dated 30.07.2020 and it was closed by Vodafone on 04.08.2020 without resolving the issue. Thus, in Spite of my several reminders through e-mails/phone calls and follow ups, the issue is not getting resolved. Vodafone doesn’t want to resolve the issue. Vodafone customer care thinks that after numerous complaints and reminders the customer will give up with the issue and Vodafone can easily make money even after not providing satisfactory services to the customers. I am not able to use my both connections in spite of paying regular bills/doing regular recharges and this is not at all acceptable. Vodafone doesn’t want to resolve this issue and they are getting false commitments each time. Thus, I lost around INR 7,000 to INR 8,000 during last once year due to non-availability of cellular services. Hence, I request you to do the needful for proper resolution of this issue and I also request for the compensation against the loss I incurred due to this problem. Please refer to the attached my e-mail communications and complain history, which are unanswered by Vodafone.

 

Moreover, I registered a Grievance through consumerhelpline (Grievance Ref : 2160656) on 08.08.2020 the the following was the response received from Vodafone:

 

“Dear Customer, As per network team remark there is 4G coverage issue at the serving site ,Checked nearby serving site is working fine, further coverage improvement is not possible by optimization. We will again review the network optimisation post 90 days. Hope you will bear with us till the time we work to provide you better experience. Regards, Snehal”

 

But, please note that I registered my first complaint to Vodafone on 27.08.2019 and Voafone committed that the issue will be resolved in next 6 months. But, even after one year, the issue is still the same. Now Voadfone again want 90 days for reviewing the network, which is not at all acceptable. I will not pay Vodafone Bills until the issue is resolved.

 

Hence, unlimited time cannot be offered to Vodafone for resolving the issue.

 

Please do the needful for proper resolution.
