On 22/11/2019 my 16 yo son bought an iPhone on Facebook marketplace.
Before paying the agreed price plus postage, my son requested a copy of the postage receipt and tracking number, which the seller provided via a screenshot.
The phone never arrived
The postal tracking code and receipt, we discovered by contacting the particular PO of West Cessnock, revealed that that same tracking number had been registered multiple times this calendar year.
That alerted us to call Police Hotline and my son’s bank, Westpac, branch Wagga Wagga.
A police Event number was issued on 2/12/19: E75655983.
The matter was handed to a constable at our local police station. He has since taken annual leave and nothing has been done since 2/12/19.
My son used his entire savings to buy this iPhone.
The sellers name is CLAIRE PHILLIPS.
