Text of Complaint by Anupam Mazumdar:

I normally am a regular customer of Biryani By Kilo, but after i ordered Biryani on 2nd May, this would be the last time from BBK.

At around 8 PM I ordered from BBK through call. It was almost a order of Rs 2300. My order was given an Order Number: 33148. BBK told me the estimated time is around 9:30 PM but because of bad weather, it might take 15-20 minutes more, which was fine with me. At 9:30 PM

I called up BBK and BBK told me, my delivery was on way and it will take another 10-15 minutes. They provided me with the rider’s number: 9650264016. I called the rider he was not picking up. I thought he might be stuck in rain, so gave more time to him.

Seeing further delay, i tried the rider again at 10:15 PM. The rider said, he will take another 30 minutes. I told him its already beyond 45 minutes delay, he said ok and put down the phone.

At around 10:50 there was no trace, so i called up BBK and i told BBK what’s going on. They put me on hold and connected to the rider. The rider told them they tried calling me but couldn’t reach me (which was not possible). So BBK told me to connect to the rider again.

I disconnected and called the rider. The rider talked to me like this:
He: I tried calling you even the guards tried calling you but couldn’t reach you
I: Where are you
He: I am at sector 119
I: Where did you try calling me from
He: Sector 119
I: You were supposed to deliver me to Sector-117
He: I have already denied delivery at Secotr -117

To this i got angry and scolded him stating: Its 10:55, i have guests and aged people at home, if you donot want to delivery can’t you inform me

I again called BBK and scolded them like anything. They listened to me and again called up to the rider, and committed delivery by 11:15 PM

No delivery by 11:25 PM

I called BBK again and cancelled the order. BBK tried convincing me for 10 minutes, but i denied saying i cannot wait more as i have aged people at home and we are already cooking at home

Now the worst part:
At around 11:45 PM BBK called me up again and said “Please sir, we will deliver in 10 minutes, please and we will provide you a complementary biryani…”. I said i can’t help because we have already prepared partial food at home. They again pleaded and then i asked, “Ok if you want then delivery tomorrow (3rd May) between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

NEXT DAY, THERE WAS NO DELIVERY NOR ANY CALL FROM BBK. WHAT WORSE CAN BE THE harassment FOR A CUSTOMER WHO HAS AGED PEOPLE AT HOME AND WE HAD GUESTS FOR WHICH WE ORDERED.
