Digi Purse is a “Digital Wallet” promoted by Union Bank of India (UBI).

The DigiPurse wallet can be used for bill payments, recharges, shopping.

The customer has to add money from the debit card, credit card, internet banking and IMPS into the Digi Purse wallet to get started.

The advantage of DigiPurse is that all utility payments, DTH, mobile recharge, post-paid bills, gas bills etc can be paid from it.

DigiPurse wallet has a virtual Visa card which enables users to transact on any website for ecommerce transaction.

The following are the salient features of Digi Purse:

• Currently, there are no charges for using Union Bank Digi Purse wallet

• The initial top up amount is Rs.500/-

• The maximum top up amount is Rs. 10,000/- per month

• The maximum wallet balance limit is Rs. 10,000/-

• As per RBI guidelines fund transfer from wallet has been disabled from 01-01-2018.

The DigiPurse App is available on android, IOS and Windows.

(i) How to download the Digi Purse app

Visit Google Play-store/respective application stores from your Android/IOS/Windows device and search for Digi Purse by Union Bank. Click on install and accept all permissions.

Yes, internet service is necessary for using Digi Purse.

(iii) Are there any charges for registering on Digi Purse?

No, DigiPurse is a free app. There is no charge for registration and usage of the app.

(iv) When is the top up amount credited to the wallet?

It takes 24 Hours for the amount to show in the wallet after top up

(v) I didn’t receive any OTP, how do I create my account?

Please click the “Resend OTP” button in the mobile app.

Digi Purse to bank transfer charges

Currently, there are no charges for using Union Bank DigiPurse wallet to transfer to and from the Bank.

It should be remembered that the initial top up amount is Rs.500. The Maximum top up amount is Rs. 10,000 per month. The maximum wallet balance limit is Rs. 10,000.

However, as per RBI guidelines fund transfer from wallet has been disabled from 1st January 2018.
