Text of Complaint by BRANDON GRESS:

My birthday is August 20. I received a $100 gift card at that time and added it to my Amazon account. I made a purchase of a phone in the next day. It said the account was frozen due to suspicious or fraudulent activity and would be investigated. I still needed a phone and had a $200 gift card for Amazon. I opened up a second account which was to be temporary that is [email protected] once again, I applied a gift card of $200 this time and they had no problem applying the funds to the accounts and a handful of hours later the account was frozen due to suspicious or fraudulent activity. The gift cards were purchased completely legally at Shoppers Drug Mart and activated there. They were added to the account without any issue as they were completely legal. The $200 gift card allowed me to buy a phone. My girlfriend was with me at the time and suggested that I get a case and she would purchase one for me so she added her credit card to my account. It had her name, address, and information she added herself, so that was nothing stolen. No complaints from her of unlawful charges or anything of that nature. In fact, she was never charged because they froze the account. The only thing I could possibly think of is that her card with her name was added to my account and the name didn’t match that takes about 30 seconds to explain. I have explained this to over 30 different Amazon employees each one promising me that the issue would be resolved and that it would be escalated to a product specialist. This is all just their scam because a product specialist is just someone with an email address that ends in do not reply so the tier 1 people who answer the phone can’t help me, nor do they have the authority, each one has got me to fill out a form, asking me private information, verifying myself and I’ve explained the situation in detail the situation which a kindergarten could understand yet none of them seem willing or able to unlock the account. I have now taken this to illegal matter, and seeking legal counsel, I want my $200 back but after all the hell and time and hours on the phone and emails back-and-forth they’ve put me through I feel as though I deserve more compensation than just the $200 but I will not sit back while they steal m the last agent I was on the phone with two minutes ago just hung up on me that’s the kind of service I’ve been getting repeatedly with these folks absolutely pathetic there was nothing illegal done there was nothing fraudulent done if they consider having that second card at its suspicious fair enough but that’s been explained several times and the last time when I was on the phone, even Virginia came on to explain what happened and gave them all the information about the credit card under her name, and the events that took place and how she had given her consent.
