I returned my Amazon order through India Post on 8 July. I accidentally lost the original booking receipt, and India Post informed me that they cannot issue a duplicate and give me a hand written receipt. Later, the India Post tracking website stopped showing updates after maintenance of the tracking website.
I escalated the issue to PG Portal, and they provided me with the official Proof of Delivery (POD). The POD clearly confirms that Amazon received my return package on 14 July.
Despite this, Amazon is refusing to issue my refund and keeps demanding the original receipt. Their condition is unreasonable and has no legal basis because delivery is already verified by CPGRAMs PG portal.
Once the seller receives the returned item, they are obligated to issue a refund under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Amazon’s refusal is unfair and unlawful. I have attached the POD from PG Portal, and all available evidence.
I request intervention and strict action so that Amazon immediately initiates my refund.
