Text of Complaint by Dr. Vimal Chacko:

I ordered Apple ipad air from Amazon on October 9. Expected delivery was from October 11 to November 3. I contacted Amazon customer service atleast three times due to delayed delivery over the one month. Each time I was assured I would get it delivered on November 3. I again contacted Amazon on November 3 when I saw that my item was still not despatched, despite being the last date of delivery. I was informed that my order was in transit and due to an error, I was not able to see it. Later in the afternoon, I received an email saying that delivery was delayed and I could expect it by November 15 only. I called customer care and they said that the order had not even been assigned to a seller. Amazon lied to me about delivery every time I contacted them. If they had not done so and had told me the truth when I contacted them the first time, I would have cancelled the order rather than wait for 1 month after paying upfront the entire amount and have the delivery date extended at the last moment. This is totally unacceptable behaviour from a company like Amazon.
