I placed an order with Ongton restaurant on 26th April’19, by mistake a wrong address was set in the zomato application.
I requested for a change in delivery address, which was confirmed by the Zomato customer care agent Jyoti, whereas, the delivery person refused to deliver the order at updated location and cancelled the order.
Later I was assured by the zomato agent Jyoti that my total amount will be refunded and shared a Transaction ID in reference to it.
Today, when I took follow up the conclusion from zomato’s end is that it is their policy that the amount will be forfeited as penalty.
The customer personnel was unaware about the company’s policy, shared me fake Transaction ID, conveyed wrong information, mislead the whole conversation.
