I ordered a food item from the delivery app Zomato on 10th June 2019 at 10.23 pm.
I tracked the order on the app and after about half an hour it showed me the status as “Order is on the way”……
After few mins someone from them called me and before i could pick it up, it got disconnected.
I called that number right back the next sec but no one was picking up the call. I kept on waiting and when the order did not arrive even after an hour i messaged Zomato customer care to which no one responded.
I had no choice but to wait but eventually the order never arrived that day and i had to suffer a lot of embarrassment that day.
The next morning when i checked the Zomato app, it said the order status “Delivered” whereas it never came to me and also some one from Zomato had replied to my last night’s message after 1 hour of me sending the message.
I wrote to them on Twitter that day and they took the order details and said that someone will contact me but no one did and they stopped replying to my further messages as well.
What a pathetic customer service. I submitted a complaint on the consumer helpline as well however Zomato closed it by updating false information. Docket number 1378572
