I placed an order for food delivery via Zomato delivery app on 9th June 2019 – Order ID 1333601117
I was informed by the zomato driver that the items I had ordered were not available for preparation after 4 pm and asked me to cancel the order.
I did so as per the zomato delivery person and contacted the Zomato customer care for refunding the amount. I was told that I would not be eligible for a refund since I had cancelled the order on my end. When I told them it was their employee who asked me to cancel the order, they simply refused to acknowledge it and kept sending me the same response.
I paid Rs. 719 for the order. I did not get the food delivered and did not get my money back.
I was even more disappointed by the response from Zomato’s customer care.
I am hoping I get my money back for the order that was not accepted by the restaurant and for the food that I did not eat.
