Text of Complaint by Apra Jain:

I placed an order with Zomato today on April 26, 2019 at 2.15pm. I canceled the ordered immediately after (literally within a minute) and yet my entire amount of ₹1, 874 has been deducted as a cancellation fee. I had to make an online payment since they don’t accept cash delivery for an order of over ₹750.

I also asked their representative on support chat that if it can’t be refunded then please go ahead and continue with my order but they refused. I then emailed them about the same and they still refused to do anything about it. They don’t even provide with a customer care number.

I don’t know how they’re running such a big company. They’re telling me a restaurant starts preparing a bulk order within a minute? Do they really think their customers are that naive? I would’ve accepted the amount being charged for cancellation fee if I’d have canceled even after 5 minutes but this is just such a rip off.

It’s really unfair and although I’ve had a few disappointing experiences with Zomato, this is my first bad experience to this level. I’m a regular customer of Zomato but I don’t think I’d like to be anymore.
