Wrongly charged twice on the same order – refund requested

Text of Complaint by Dr. Kalyani Kapur:

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

On 19th of April, 2021 we had placed an order on Amazon fresh amounting to INR 3,685. The order was delivered the next day, 20th April, 2021 morning.

We had the payment of INR 3,685 on 9:58 am (UPI Reference ID: 11100931800). Amazon delivery personnel, said the payment hasn’t gone through while we insisted that he should wait for a few minutes as sometime it takes time. He said, he hasn’t received the payment and we need to make the payment again and if there is a double payment it will be refunded. So we made another payment of INR 3,685 on 10:04 am (UPI Reference ID: 111025882716). After 15 minutes, when both the payment confirmation messages came through we called the delivery executive and he said he will get the refund processed.

It’s been over 3 months now, we have numerous calls to the delivery executive, called on Amazon customer care executives (having spoken to Ms. Divya in the Escalation Team, Ms. Navya Customer Care, Ms. Aishvarya in Amazon Fresh and Mr. Prakash Shaha Lead Customer Support) but the refund has not come through yet!

We are attaching the proof of both the payments in the PDF. We have shared these proofs with Amazon customer care as well and they confirmed that payment was taken twice and it would be addressed, but still nothing.

Would appreciate if you can suggest/guide on how to get Amazon refund the money. The delivery executive being their agent, it becomes their responsibility to take action and get the refund processed.

Looking forward to a resolution here.
