Text of Complaint by Darshan Kale:

I am writing to express my severe disappointment and frustration regarding a recent order I placed on August 19th, 2023, with the order ID FN2284403026. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention.

On August 23rd, 2023, I eagerly anticipated the arrival of my order, only to be met with shock and dismay. Instead of the product I had carefully selected, I received a black XS-sized T-shirt with the brand name “OUTRYT” printed on it. This was a far cry from what I had originally ordered. What’s more, the T-shirt had an unattached blank tag, and there was even a loose Nike tag carelessly enclosed in the plastic bag alongside the product. To illustrate these discrepancies, I have attached photographs for your reference.

In response to this grave error, I acted swiftly by initiating a return request within a mere 30 to 40 minutes of receiving the incorrect product through the Ajio app. During this process, I provided comprehensive photographic evidence and clearly stated the reason for my return. Additionally, I reached out to your customer care team on the same day, seeking assistance in resolving this issue. I was given assurance that the incorrect product would be collected for return.

Indeed, the return process was initiated successfully, and I was issued return ID RT123808699. When the designated delivery person arrived to collect the product, they verified the presence of only the blank tag on the T-shirt, further substantiating my claim.

However, my patience was further tested on September 1st, 2023, when I received an unsettling call from an individual named Devendra Kumar, who claimed to represent Ajio. Mr. Kumar conveyed that the product I had returned did not meet their quality standards and would be returned to me. I endeavored to explain that the reason for my return was precisely because I had received the wrong product. Regrettably, due to a language barrier, Mr. Kumar abruptly terminated the call, displaying a complete lack of professionalism.

Following this disheartening call, I received a notification from Ajio, stating that the return had been canceled. Frustrated and desperate for a resolution, I made three additional calls on September 1st, but all my efforts proved futile.

I find myself in a perplexing situation, unsure of how to proceed when I receive a product that deviates significantly from my original order. I did not record a video while unboxing the package, and if such documentation is expected from customers, I strongly recommend that this requirement be explicitly stated for future purchases from Ajio.

To add to my exasperation, the product is currently en route back to my address, courtesy of Ajio’s purported quality test. I want to make it unequivocally clear that I will not accept the delivery, and it will be returned to the sender. It is disheartening to realize that if the quality test had indeed been as stringent as advertised, I would not have been subjected to the ordeal of receiving the incorrect product in the first place. Wrote mail to their grevience team but of no use they didn’t even care to reinvestigated the issue.
I am never going to order from Ajio ever again.
