Hi

My name is kishor sawant

Last month I have taken one family plan, as per plan two postpaid sim and one hd airtel connection was included. I have asked airtel agent mr arvind (pune Pimpri branch sales person) that I am interested in dth box only if channel can be recorded where I can record my favourite shows, he suggested for airtel extrem box and I paid additional 1500 for same. When I started using it I released that recording option was not available. it show’s message on screen that feature is not available then I asked him why this message is coming he said he has no idea about the same and suggested to call 121 and enquiry the same. I have enquired the on 121 where they confirmed that it is an additional rs 50 per month. Also they told me to use the external memory disk to record the tv channel as there is no internal space available for recording. All this information is not given by airtel agent (mr arvind) as he himself was not aware of all this things. I went for this box only for recording feature but as i have understood that I have to pay additional cost which was unknown before buying the device. On 121 phone call, told them to lodge the complaint but they are refusing for same and asked us to drop a mail on the issue. This look like fraud to me as airtel selling something where information is not shared properly or the sales agent misguided on the features and the sales person or the customer cares is not ready to refund the amount as they say that we need to use the box for 1 yrs and then only we are eligible for refund. Support system refusing to lodge complaint feels like support system is not good. I could not even follow up properly on my complaint.i had asked them to check with there superior but still they are not interested in our complaint and asking to continue this set top box for one year. But I can not use this box where along with box I have to pay additional fee per month for recording plus take additional hard disk to for storage, then what is the use of xstream box when all other things are external.

 

My requested to you is, replace airtel extrem box with HD box and refund the 1500 rs and ok to continue with airtel.

If this is not possible then I will cancel this one family plan and look forward for full refund as I am not getting what I am looking from airtel so there is no point in using this service.

 

Looking for your reply on this matter, if still this is not resolved then I will lodge consumer care complaint for same.
