Text of Complaint by Aswini Ramachandran:

My friend booked a triple room for 3 people, me, my cousin and our friend, in HOTEL BROWNSTAR which is just opposite to the prometric centre in chennai kodumpakkam because we had an exam to attend to.
After half a day of travelling we arrived from kochi to kodumpakkam. We came to hotel right after reaching.
The receptionist started saying that two gents and one lady is not allowed to one room. My cousin informed to them that he had mentioned about this 2-3 times to the person who attended to him. And that person said it was okay as I was cousin.
But they pretended to show no recollection about this info and continued saying there was no room for the three of us.
Even though they were in the wrong, we asked about two rooms, and this time they told us there were two rooms but with a higher rate.
As we are students who were in chennai to attend exam and already booked the room we didnt have enough cash to have a room for a much higher rate.
So we asked if they could lower the rate and they said they couldnt.
We were helpless and roomless when we have a professional exam the next day.
They said they could provide a refund or two rooms for the higher rate.
We had no option but to get the refund.
They should have told us is they were not able to give room to us. But instead they said it was okay like a month ago.
This was a terrible experience and we did deserve good service from the hotel but instead we were treated disrespectfully.
