Text of Complaint by Rajshekhar Sen:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in reference to an airline ticket booked through MakeMyTrip mobile application dated 06 Aug, 2021, reference Booking ID:- NF79147316180524. The ticket is booked for 2 Pax from the list of passengers name stored in the database of Makemytrip application. To our surprise we found one the passenger name reflecting in the ticket shows Salutation “Mrs” in First Name.

On the same date 06 Aug, 2021 at 111:18 AM, we have raised a concern for Name change. However, it took them 24Hrs(next day 06 Aug, 2021) to call me back without any resolution stating that the timeline for free cancellation of the ticket is over. This is completely ridiculous statement and poor customer service from Makemytrip team. I have all the relevant call recordings for the conversations with Makemytrip team. In one of my conversation I have been assured by Mr. Vishal Kumar(supervisor) that the concern has been escalated to the technical deepartment for checking of time stamp regarding raising of Name change request and the call back done by the Makemytrip team.

Post this until today 14 Aug, 2021, I haven’t received any call back nor they have the courtesy to keep their customer informed about the progress on the escalated concern. Finding no response I connected with Makemy trip customer care on 01244628700, Ms. Pallavi(supervisor) after wasting about 30 minutes of time over the call, was unable to provide any resolution except the mundane protocol speech that “our team is currently investigatiing the concern and they needs more time”.

The support provided by the Makemytrip customer service team was so pathetic and beyond my words to comprehend the amount of anguish it has caused me during my conversation with them explaining my simple concern for a resolution. I believe had they contacted me back on realtime basis, the issue would have been resolved on day 1 itself.

Now with every passing day the cost of booking new airline ticket are increasing rapidly. Hence I look forward to a prompt response with a quick resolution of arranging new ticket for 2 pax on the same day of travel for the same destination.

Note: All relevant recordings of the interaction with Makemytrip team can be provided as and when required to substantiate my concern.
