Dear Sir/Madam,

Please Find the Attachments.

I am a customer of Airtel and recently I tried to do my mobile recharge through Airtel platform like mobile android app and official website. However, under the recharge section, I have noticed that in the Circle/State name, my state’s name is mentioned as “ORISSA” instead of the correct name of “ODISHA”. For your reference, I have attached the screenshots with this grievance.

As you may be aware, the state’s name “ORISSA” has been officially changed to “ODISHA” since 2011 by an act of Parliament. I have also attached the official Gazette of India Order notification mentioning Odisha Name Alteration Act 2011 with this grievance. It has been 12 years since this change and I am surprised that it has not been updated in your records.

I request you to kindly rectify this error and change the circle/state’s name from “ORISSA” to “ODISHA” on your portal and also in all other places like on your website/app/platform, accordingly wherever it is applicable. This will avoid any confusion and inconvenience for me and other customers from Odisha.

Please acknowledge this grievance and confirm the action taken by you at the earliest. And a sincere request to you, please do not call me on my personal mobile number and dispose of the complaint only when the issue is resolved.
