Text of Complaint by Ravi Chaturvedi:

My name is Ravi Chaturvedi, and I’m a Airtel subscriber from Kolkata. I’m fed up with this connection due to their wrong Billing and extra charges. A few days back, or probably a month ago, I migrated from Airtel Postpaid to Airtel Prepaid. At that time, the executive at Airtel store told me to clear all the pending bill, then only he can take a request for migration to Prepaid. I paid all the due amount till that day, which comes around INR350. Then, he told me it will around 48 hours or probably 2 -3 days for the migration to Prepaid. Also, he told me you need to e-recharge of INR 35 to continue your service in prepaid to avail income and outgoing call facilities.

Now, when I visited Airtel store after 3-4 days, the same executive told me the plan of first e-recharge of INR 35 has stopped. Now, you need to recharge with INR 178 to avail prepaid services. However, you will get 30 days calling free. Though, I don’t want that service, because I’m already using a Jio Sim with free calling for 84 days.

But, he insisted me to recharge with INR 178. I did. Now, my complaint is if I paid all the due bills of Postpaid at the time of migration, then how come this bill of INR 56.87 has generated. I have attached the bill/invoice generated by Airtel below. Please have a look.

Moreover, I was using a plan of INR 199. After few months, say 4-5 months they changed my plan to INR 299 without my prior approval or intimating me. How can they do this? Without asking the consumer/subscriber, how can you change the rental plan?

Now, as a compensation I want all the invalid billing + plan change without my approval asap.

Please look into this and resolve the issue.
