Dear Madam/Sir, on 17 Sep 2022 I had ordered a Hanging Ceiling Light from amazon.in (company Glorious Glass Overseas; product detail is here –>https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B09R9MQ3XN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It was sent from Kerala to Chennai as a gift. In spite of the INR 999 worth product, circa 100 Rs worth of glass vase was delivered on 22. Sep 2022 (compare the photo). I informed the Firm about this mistake, and had asked that the wrong product to be returned and it was agreed. The last day of return the company specified until the 6th Oct. 2022. I chose 5th Oct 2022 as the date for return pickup by the amazon courier service. No one turned up for the pick up, and I was shocked to see the update on web dated 5. Oct 2022 that “return pickup failed as the price tag was missing”. I had taken a screen-shot of the same. Once again, I checked on web on 6th Oct 2022; now another update with the same date informing “return pick-up cancelled- pickup failed as the price tag was missing”. Ironically, no one came to check the package to give such fraudulent online information from Amazon courier. I had no choice today other than cancelling the return, hoping that I could initiate the return again. However, no further possibility of returning the good is given further. It is so embarrassing to deal with this situation, particularly when the product was supposed to be a gift. I would like to have justice, and amazon must apologize for this event, and they must control the wrong third-parties 1. the company Glorious Glass Overseas and 2. the courier service. Speaking to some others in Chennai who informed that similar cheating is very common with the amazon return service. Ironically, the customer is not given with contact phone number of the company, however the courier service has the contact number of the customer. I have reviewed this case giving the information of the fraud so that the customers must know of the company.
