Today morning I’ve got an SMS from Airtel (Attaching for reference) that Airtel will be upgrading my existing plan to Rs199 from 23rd September 2020 without my consent/permission.
This is something which I have never requested to Airtel and nor I want to go for it. I am currently using Airtel my plan 99 for last 6 years and which suits to my requirement/usage and I’m fine with the same.
As I understand & believe too that when we get a postpaid connection, we also get an assurance/commitment and most importantly the trust, that we will get the guaranteed plan and services which we have opted for and will be served as long as I am paying and not requesting any changes to it. This things also differentiate us from a prepaid users. Hence, we are paying standard rent every month irrespective we are using optimally our connection or not.
I have never expected and experienced such a dishonest step from such a leading network provider, that too with their old customer relationship which has good credit history with no default in payments and loyal customer toward company for last 6 years with 2 more connections.
I raised the concern to the customer care, and they are suggesting that they can close the plan anytime after 6 month with prior notice to customer and giving the reference to TRAI.
I also read the same on TRAI website there also given the guidelines in article in which they too mentioned that it should not financially impact the customer too. Anything extra to be compensated in form of discount to the existing customers. In this case your company airtel is expecting me to pay just double for same services what I am paying currently.
Sir/Ma’am, my usage is very limited and the plan which i am currently using meets all my requirements.
Hence I urge, not to change in my plan and continue what I am using it so far i.e. MY PLAN 99.
Your help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
