My airtel sim got deactivated automatically on 28/11/2021 , which was working fine from almost more than a year. I visited the Airtel Express store located at Jigani Anekal taluk, Bengaluru.
I asked the guy in store , why did the service get deactivated , he replied its common every year u need to submit any gov id proof and update here. I then gave him the proofs , he updated it and gave me a new sim and asked me to pay 100rs for the sim. But in Airtel official Website its mentioned 25rs for new sim. I asked him then for every year sim deactivates and do I need to pay 100 and get a new sim in my number. He replies YES. I asked other service providers does’nt ask for these things we dont pay any, he replied this is AIRTEL , in Airtel it will be this way itself , if you want use or change to other service provider. Is this the kind of service a company like Airtel provides, I felt really bad using Airtel.
