Text of Complaint by Srihari:

Vodafone is asking me to pay 48K for the service which I have never utilized. I took a post-paid plan of 299 and was regularly paying every month.

I have called customer care when I saw the bill amount of 15k to my surprise. Customer care person mentioned there some technical glitch and suggested not to pay the bill as issue will be resolved in next bill cycle, but it has accumulated every time. My credit limit is 1000 and current bill showing 48k.

I have been calling customer care at least 10 times previously but issue is never resolved. out of blue the billing team and legal team starts chasing to pay bills and threats me a legal action and now they have filled case in Lok Adalat. I have tried to explain my best the issue, but they are not ready to understand the problem and they say this request has been done from Vodafone app and hence I have to pay bill. I have asked them to connect me to their supervisor . They would say they will contact in 24 to 48 hours but never called.
After serious discussions with billing team, they asked me to go to Vodafone team during this pandemic situation. As I’m in trouble with no option left, visited the store which in electronic city (opposite to ECity Police station). Manager there asked me to send mail to the appellate team and they will also send the mail with the details discussed with me. Though I asked them to copy in the mail they denied. Rather asked me to send mail from my end. As per their suggestion send email.

Another point to note is- Generally once a credit limit is set the expectation from both customer and service provider the bill amount should not exceed the mentioned amount and in case bill amount is exceeded contact the customer immediately. But no one has contacted in that concern.

Another important thing to understand, the pack which is activated will be active only on travel. I didn’t travel to any country.
