Before 2 days, I went to port my sim from Vodafone to Jio. On the next day, I got a call from a number. The lady said that she was calling from Jio Store (fake statement). She said to cancel the Vodafone sim, you have to send a message by typing CANCEL on 1900. She told lie that she was from Jio store. After that she told me about fake plans of Jio recharge. After some time, I received the message that the Port request has been canceled.
Today, I got a call from Jio Store (original), then I got to know about this fake process from Vodafone.
In this lockdown, I have to go again out to Port my sim from Vodafone to Jio.

I had similar experience with Vodafone today. Got a call from someone pretending to be from Airtel. He said there were 2 requests raised by mistake, and asked me to send CANCEL mynumber to 1900.
He mentioned he’ll wait on the call to check and confirm. I realized it is fake when he tried to push me..
He disconnected the call when I said Im recording!
Cant really believe VI is doing this! Obviously no one would have known that I have submitted porting request without VI’s knowledge.
I had also same experience with VI , be cautious after submit porting code to deferent service provioder
Same experience. Can’t believe how a big company like voda be so cheap and fraudster. They keep calling me from different numbers pretending to be Jio and asking me to cancel or for non existing previous payments and if not threaten to cancel my number

He said to cancel the Vodafone sim, you have to send a message by typing CANCEL on 1900. He told lie that he was from Jio store. After that he falsely told me that jio will be activated in two days. After some time, I received the message that the Port request has been cancelled.
After getting suspicion I called to jio customer care and knew about this fake process from Vodafone.
If that man is not from Vodafone then how he knew my Vodafone number which was to be ported?

Same thing happened to me on 14 Aug 2021. Somehow I thought is it is fishy and refused to send the request. In my case I had paid Rs.399 to the Jio store as initial recharge before port also.
If I have sent the cancel request I would have lost the money too.
So we should be carefull.
happened with me too. Vodafone Idea is doing fraud. The number from which I got a call is: 7003227607
Even I got same type of call from 8657531923. He said he is from Vodafone and asked me to send the cancel code without saying what it means. So, I have sent the code and my Vodafone to Jio number port request got cancelled. They keep on calling from various numbers until we pick up. This happened to me on 23rd April, 2022.
