  • I have been using Vodafone for 3 years, I have ₹23 in my account balance. Its the main SIM I’ve been using for all my calls.
  • From the past few days I’m getting messages and calls saying after Nov 23, 2018 your outgoing services will be suspended and try to recharge with plans Rs35/65/95 and get an extension of 28 days.
  • Though my SIM validity when I checked a week ago, it is upto 2022, but now it is showing 24 Nov 2018.
  • How could the company have the rights to deduct the validity of SIM and how could it threaten the consumer to recharge with additional plans, when there is enough account balance in the SIM card.
  • This is very annoying and depriving the rights of the consumer.

  1. Same msg on my sim… 24nov outgoing suspension

I dare you greedy voda.. Shutdown my card…go2hell… I’m done…

  2. All prepaid customers will now have Outgoing and Data Service Validity instead of lifetime validity. Once the Outgoing and Data Service Validity expires, you will have to recharge your account with a pack that gives you validity of 28 days or more to enjoy uninterrupted service.

Both new and existing Vodafone customers will have service validity instead of lifetime validity. Please recharge with a pack that has validity of 28 days and above. Please visit https://bit.ly/2G7Y1Xw for more information on recharge packs. – Faraz

    1. You should have informed in advance instead of sending the message on same day, really dirty and cheap tactics being used by you due to fear of Jio, instead of getting more revenue you will loose more number of customers, I am going to port my number to other operator. You are cheating your customers by barring the calls without advance intimation so that customers must recharge as the number might be registered for several services, but for sure it will backfire at you.

    2. That’s what you do.. Make people comfortable.. Trust you.. And then stab them at their backs.. Now what should one do if we have 2 vodafone sims.. Recharge every month in both sims? Even if we use only one of them as the primary sim..

    3. When we purchased Vodafone SIM, It is promised by Vodafone that there will be lifetime validity for outgoing calls.

How you can change such offer without our consent. It is cheating .

Some body who knows law guide me on this.
If a vendor accept money in consideration for any service or goods and refuse to supply\render wht he has offered; is it a criminal offence?

We paid money for SIM with life time validity.

  3. I am also facing the same issue, vodafone stopped my outgoing services without any intimation even the i have balance in my account.
Some action to be taken as early as possible on this topic, please do the needful.

  4. I also facing same problem we need keep one number permanent for bank and other many OTP services
By forcing to recharge every 28/48/84 days sim company’s is taking a advantage of situation.

At this point i am forced to change my service provider. At this rate all costumers go mad choose not to give in. And all this company will lost lots of customers.

  5. I’ve also received same message from them. I think we should stop using their service then only they will understand the value of their customers.

  6. I am also facing the same issue, vodafone stopped my outgoing services without any intimation even the i have balance in my account.RS.251/ APPROX. & FORCE TO RECHARGE Rs.35/-
Some action to be taken as early as possible on this topic, please do the needful.

    1. My outgoing call has been halted, what should I do now, what if I recharge for 35 will the validity be extended or if I don’t recharges can the sim card be still use????

      1. The problem will be resolved by doing a minimum recharge of Rs.35 or any other plan which gives the validity of 28 days. I was having the same problem but after doing a Rs 35 recharge my problem has been solved immediately. I know vodafone is taking advantage of the situation but we are helpless. We could port to another operator but there will be no guarantee that they will not do the same thing.

  7. It is better to convert your phone number to Jio. Theses companies took undue advantage in the absence of Jio and were charging in thousands for internet and calls. Now, with the entry of Jio and its competitve plans they are finding difficult to survive and have started forcing users to spend ateast 35 ruppes monthly.

Such practice is actually a sort of harassment and they need to be taught a lesson. They are never going to earn customer loyalty and the customers will ditch them subsequently.

My advise is to get one Jio SIM or convert your other SIM to Jio and just chill !!!

  8. As on today I have already a balance of more than Rs.100/- recharged in October 2018. But I am getting the message that ‘your outgoing service will be stopped by 17th of December if not recharged with Rs.35/-, Rs.65/- or Rs.95/-. Then what about the balance of available in my account. How far it is good.
This type of plan may lead to change to another connection. Look for customer convenience.

  9. let’s say you don’t make any recharge on your mobile number, you will stay subscribed with the telecom operator for another 90 days. This means, a total of 105 days – 15 days after plan expires, and another 90 days of grace period. Lastly, after 105 days, you will lose your number.

But, if you have Rs 20 balance in your account, it will be deducted, and the validity will be extended by another 30 days, making it a total of 135 days. If you still fail to recharge after 135 days, you will lose your number, and there will be no option to retain it further.

  10. how could stop service each 28 days. They should create package for 1 year at least say 336 (28 x 12) paln so user can use until interrupted service… This is hell. They want us to pay 399 for 84 datys means minimum 1700 for year… What the fu*k

  11. Yek sab inka strategy tha pehele mobile use karne ki aadat daali aur ab bina matlab 35 Rs karna hai even though u have unlimited wala pack. Like this they wil earn EXTRA ADDITIONAL

35 x 1,342,512,706 ppls = 46,98,79,44,710 Rs. Per month together all the bastard companies
