hi,
i hav been charged twice for the vodafone IR 28 day pack which i had activated on 19th of aug 2019. Rs 5000++ for i-RoamFREE 28 days (this plan was discontinued by Vodafone in Nov 2018) and Rs. 5999++ for i-RoamFREE @28 days.
This plan needs to be activated every month upon expiry. I had raised several complaints with Vodafone customer care ( Complaint nos – 4-35259334930, 4-36625965511) but the said i have done it myself via IVR hence the cannot reverse the charges.
I had called vodafone helpline on 19th aug evening and selected the 28day pack on IVR selection but did not receive the confirmation message. So within 30 mins i called them and this time i spoke to CC agent and got the 28day pack activated.
During this process it seems i selected the Rs 5000++ for i-RoamFREE 28 days (pls note this pack was replaced by Vodafone with Rs. 5999++ for i-RoamFREE @28 days on Nov2018) within a time frame of 30 mins.
Upon raising the complaint with Vodafone CC i was told that i need to pay for both as one request i had done via IVR and another over call to agent. I asked them how can i activate a discontinued pack via IVR – they said it was available on IVR till aug and is not discontinued.
I have been using this pack on a month over month basis as i have a lot of travel abroad. This will be evident from my Billing History with Vodafone. this is not the only issue.
Normally before a pack ends – the service provider sends an SMS to intimate that ur pack is about to get over pls renew but for this pack they do not do. i hav ended up paying thousands of rupees for just 30 mins of data usage in between expiry and renewal of data pack as they would send a SMS after expiry of the pack.
i guess International roaming packs have become a tool to pump up the billings for Vodafone.
I humbly request you to look into this matter as it might be affecting many more like me.
