In the last 10 years as a Vodafone Customer, on calling the (previously Toll-free) customer care number (199), I was never kept on hold for over a minute. However, after the introduction of 50p per min charges, I was kept on hold for 25 minutes today. The Customer Care Executive seemed least interested in hearing my complaint. He picked the call and then kept me on hold before hearing my issue entirely. Then again after hearing my issue he kept me on hold. Then he said he was transferring my call to another department which did not pick the call only. 25 Minutes on Hold in total. And only after the call becoming paid.
