Text of Complaint by DILIP NAVNIT VORA:

Sir/Madam,

My mother,Smt.Ila Navnit Vora,is using Vodafone no 9820436570 since many years now.

Everything seemed fine till now.I received a mail (As My email id is registered in it as I make the payment)wherein The Amount for which She was billed (Inv.no 15IMHO9884885595,tHE PERIOD FOR WHICH WAS 11.08.18 TO 10.09.18)went to astounding 1800/-.

On checking it with Vodafone executive,I found out that a no of ISD Calls were made to a couple of numbers in last week of August and First week of September.

I tried to found it out from my mother,who barely can even find out the keypad from her phone if she wants to make a call all by herself,that she might have talked to someone whom she knows OR Someone might have used her phone and made calls from her number without her knowledge.

But this wasn’t the case.Our festival is going on and there is a fasting for 30 days,So anyone coming to house was out of question and She too going out for any other work seemed unreasonable.

The only way to check this out,as this was an international number and it was important for me to find out this number to whom the call was made.I happened to find it out and then tried to contact them from Whatsapp calling and requested them to hear my concern.

I described the whole story to them and even forwarded my Vodafone bill to them to check for the details of calls against their number.

I then requested them to give their details for the said period which might make the things clear as water.To both of our surprise,There my number wasnt listed at all.The Mobile service Operator,Verizon Wireless,Lists down all the incoming numbers too in their bill specially if it is International.

I asked them again to recheck it from the Operator itself and then reply me back which they did and result was same.No sign of any number from India at all around that time (Considering the time difference between India and US).

Now was the time to check with Vodafone customer care and raise the alarm as to what type of Technical Glitch or what sort of suspicious thing is going on and who is responsible for this.

But Upon calling Vodafone executives,Each one of them tried to ascertain me that its not their mistake and Charges will not be reverted.

I assured them in every possible way that I haven’t called for any reversal or cancellation of anything of that sort.Technology doesnt lie.So if it has registered my number being calling an international number it must be right,whether my mother has done it or Whether someone else has done the same without her knowledge And I must pay for it.

But the Alarming thing was to know the source and identity of this number.Cause if it would have been used for any acts such as Terrorist activities or any illegal activities,then My mother would have to face unnecessary problems.

And now when I have found that there is no call being made to this number being showed in her bill (The proof of which I am enclosing as an attachment,both my Bill as well as the bill of Verizon wireless for that particular period),The Vodafone executives doesnt seem to understand my concern.

I am raising an alarm of an Important thing which is ‘Security’ and they are speaking to a 10 year old customer as if he is a beggar and they wont relent to it (And this attitude happened to be with even the Appeleate authority-9820015032-Mr.Ankit Dedhia,If I have got his name right due to bad audio quality).

On requesting to him numerous times that I am not asking him to revert back the charges or whatever but asking him to kindly put on a check on this suspicious thing going on,which maybe with many people,but due to ignorance or being not aware,they might not have brought this into the notice of Vodafone till date.

He didnt even take care to put this down to higher authorities,whoever it may be and put this in front of them which is really a matter of deep concern for me.
To Vodafone and Co,Money is everything and Not Security of Country,if at all it maybe.At least it has to be checked.

I kindly request you to please do whatever is needed on this case and I have decided to depart from Vodafone to Airtel after finalising the payment with them.But I am really very very unstaisfied by the response I got from Vodafone,A comaony with such a big brand name and Stature with such a poorest service being rendered to the customers.

I had to tell Mr.Ankit You all want blind customers who just uses and pays you.You do not want alert customers who can give you a good and proper feedback about your working or discrepancy.

Remember it is because of A customer that you exist.Once this customer comes to know all,That would be the last day for any company who thinks that A customer is a fool and should be treated in such a way only.
