I am being penalised for a bill two months after I requested for a port out (9920627130)

I was a subscriber of Vodafone services and had 3 connection with them from 2008 onwards. They are 9920782130, 9920783730 and 9920627130.
Airtel approched us in the month of April, 2018 to port to their services offering us a plan with a rental of Rs.499 for 3 months post which the rental would be Rs.799 for one connection and the other 2 would be add-ons with zero rental.
I reached out to Vodafone to correct the same. They were not only unable to match the rental from their existing Rs.1899 per connection, they were unable to provide a valid reason for me to continue.
I decided to port out of vodafone and submitted my port out requests in the last week of April, 2018.
My number (9920782130) and my wife’s number (9920783730) were ported out in the next 10 days after paying the balance amount as per them twice. The last number 9920627130 was also given a bill after which we decided to go for a new number in Airtel as the number was not o any relevance to my son who used it. We paid the bill and moved on to airtel. We threw away the SIM of 9920627130 and I can assure you no one would have found the same.
Now we have received a bill worth Rs.4017.98 (this is not a surprise, as I had been repeating the above episode with this number to all and sundry who called me from Vodafone). The usage in this connection is maximum till the 10th of May. However, I decided to pay the May bill (bill date 27th approximately) as it would end the matter. I paid this to the relationship number 101501382.This was for an amount of Rs.266.
But I am still continuing to receive calls for the last 2 bills of Rs.2000 and odd each.
Why should i pay this considering my porting request for the number had been sent on 30th April, 2018?
Kindly intervene and help me close this issue at the ealriest.
