Text of Complaint by Manpreet Kaur:

I chose to port my Vodafone mobile number to Airtel. Followed the documentation and completed the whole process. Received a call from Vodafone agent who lied about the facts and pressurized a lot to halt the port for 24 hours by sending an sms to get them resolve the issue and the lie was that after 24 hours my number will automatically get ported to Airtel without any process. I told him multiple times that i am fed up of their poorest network and i spared time after a year to get this process done and now i cannot afford to repeat it and i want to port at any cost. He assured that nothing is to be done at my end and was literally begging to follow the instruction. Next day i called him, he was extremely rude and least interested to entertain me as his job of retention was done by fooling me. Since then, i am receiving upgraded plans from Vodafone. On contacting Airtel, i got to know that nothing happens automatically and it was a trick by Vodafone to retain me. I have to again re port the number. This is a complete cheating case to mentally harass the customer and forcefully retain them.
