Text of Complaint by Jonathan Siqueira:

I have escalated my query to Vodafone (Mobile: 7875293436) on several ocassions and have not got any satisfactory resolution yet.
I have been enticed by Vodafone to get a new CITI bank credit card via the Vodafone Red plans, in December, which I did not even need at the time but the offer seemed good as I was to avail Rs. 2400 over 12 months on my Vodafone account. I have confirmed with CITI bank over then phone that I am eligible to get the cashback, since all criteria had been met, still I haven’t received anything, I had to change my plan from 499 to 399 as Vodafone lied and it was getting expensive to pay each month. It’s not about the money, but a matter of principal, I wonder how many customers get fooled this way. Each time Vodafone says I will receive a callback, I never do and they don’t the option to transfer it to the complaints team directly, SO THERE IS ACTUALLY NO WAY FOR CUSTOMERS TO COMPLAIN!!!!
Secondly, I have approached Vodafone to update my name correctly on record as Vodafone has mis spelt my last name as SIQUELRA instead of SIQUEIRA (Despite the ruckus made by telecom providers to update Aadhaar details a while ago wih such urgency), I was advised it cannot be done via phone and I had to visit the Vodafone store. I go to the store and update my details again with Aadhaar in November last year, and the changes have still not been confirmed. My name still appears incorrectly, which could lead to fraudulent activity.
I am sick and tired of calling 198, it’s a joke, firstly for some reason I never get to speak to agent in my preferred language, which is English. Sometimes I get agents who only mainly speak Marathi, and it’s difficult to converse in Hindi also.
The Vodafone APP is an icing on the cake, it acts like a 92year old lady, who can’t understand much and refuses to budge from one screen to another, requires updates on several ocassions just to function normally.
I have been having health issues added to this and it’s taking it’s toll, I can’t take this anymore, before I actually go into depression I wanted to escalate this, if not resolved, my next step is going to be consulting a consumer protection lawyer.
