Text of Complaint by Shakir iqbal:

1. My number already has DnD activated, yet I continue to receive promotional/bloat messages.
2. Customer care executive mis-communicated the information and escalation procedure and denied  providing me the Nodal Authority Email or any higher authority to discuss the issue. Complain ticket  no. is  – 1513509047
3. A ‘Health o Fortnightly’ service was activated without my consent and my balance was deducted for 1 month1 @ 45 INR.
I never approved any subscription of this service. Neither through message, call or app and still I’m being told that I had activated this.
In fact fortunately I caught this message while checking my inbox and it was auto-initiated with the vodafone team by default activating it and asking customers to cancel it which only happened today as this message was caught by me.
When I ask about how it was activated no information is given to me and let aloan refund my balance, not I have received any such service as well.
Let us be very clear about this service gimick that we have here, I had the same issue related to your hello tunes earlier a few years ago and at that time it was resolved and now same unethical practices are being repeated.
No one buys these bullshit services themselves, the services are promoted and activated from vodafone site itself : https://www.vodafone.in/discover/music-videos-and-more/health
Vodafone is using mal-practice and mis-communication in charging users and not refunding the balance. This is almost similar to Airtel payment banking fraud where you are not directly informing users or taking consent before using their money and only asking them post services. In this case it is already too concealed that user has no option but to contact customer care and who just toss the call here and there.
